This is an experimental blog written by students of OS Medvode, year 9. Every English lesson in the school year 2011/2012 will be described by two different pupils (one from the 3rd and one from the 2nd level group) in order to practice writing skills and have a better overview of what is going on in class. All non-offensive comments regarding the posts' content and this blog's concept are welcome.

13 September 2011 / Igor Šušteršič
First we checked our homework. Homework was in WB, page 3-5, or write 5-10 sentences about the Middle Agea. Then we read text: The roots of English, in WB on pages 8 and 9. That text was about: Celts, Romans, Vikings, Roman empire, invasions, Christianity and the English language. Each of us read 2 sentences (including the teacher). Then we read a story about The tower of Babel. This one was about people, who want to build a tower to heaven. But God was unhappy, so he mixed (made new) languages. And last we got homework - in text book, page 48/2a and 49.

ReplyDeleteI've added a picture of the Tower of Babel. For the following bloggers: if you find a nice picture that goes with the lesson's content, send url - I'll add it if possible.
ReplyDeleteHere's the link to the presentation we didn't have the time to go through in class: http://prezi.com/zzwmfa4e18zr/the-tower-of-babel/. I'm sharing it because of the comic at the end... If anyone finds a better joke on The tower of Babel - please share.
